Hasan Kalyoncu University general quality policy and specific policies on teaching and learning, research and development, community service and management.
Our General Quality Policy
Hasan Kalyoncu University, in carrying out its higher education activities, aims primarily to meet the expectations and satisfaction of its students and all stakeholders at the highest level; to be a proactive and innovative world university with international recognition and prestige; to ensure that its students and graduates are qualified, socially aware individuals sought after in national and international sectors; and to establish strategic partnerships for education and research and to sustain them with determination. It embraces compliance with quality management system requirements and continuous improvement, and ensures that continuous improvement efforts are safeguarded.
Our specific policies in line with our General Quality Policy are as follows.
Teaching and Learning
- Places students at the center and prepares rich learning environments that facilitate their learning; offers multidimensional learning environments and interdisciplinary education opportunities.
- Aims to improve the teaching skills and competencies of academic staff.
- Aims to increase the competencies and satisfaction of students, academic staff and administrative staff who interact with them indirectly in teaching and learning activities.
- Encourages and supports original work carried out in educational units in order to raise innovative, self-confident, competitive and entrepreneurial individuals.
- Develops communication and interaction environments (workshops, protocols, etc.) with internal and external (sectoral) stakeholders in teaching and learning, and encourages work in this area.
- Activates practices such as internships, practical training, technical visits and projects to continuously increase quality in teaching and learning.
- Maintains a “constructivist” approach in teaching and learning that ensures the active participation of students.
- Improves the conditions necessary for the education and training of students who require special attention.
- Promotes internationalization in teaching and learning services.
Research and Development
- Increases R&D capacity, particularly through graduate programs, especially PhD programs.
- Carries out R&D studies that will contribute to solving national and regional problems and to the country’s development.
- Enriches R&D resources and infrastructure and ensures their effective and efficient use.
- Applies scientific ethical values at all stages of R&D studies.
- Increases national and international cooperation to enhance R&D activity.
- Converts the results of R&D studies into economic value and social benefit.
- Disseminates the R&D outputs produced at our University.
- Trains qualified human resources for R&D.
- Encourages R&D studies on information technology.
Community Service
- Carries out activities to increase academic interest in social problems and to create social awareness.
- Strengthens lifelong learning activities aimed at society.
- Creates environmentally respectful and sustainable living spaces, establishes the governance model required for this, protects natural and cultural assets, and ensures a safe and accessible living environment for all individuals, whether or not they have disabilities.

Management
- Carries out work to employ qualified academic and administrative staff.
